A foreign citizen who purchases real estate in Turkey needs the following documents to register ownership. Original and copies of the international passport and identity document, translated into Turkish and certified by a Turkish notary. 2 photographs 3x4 cm. Original and copies of the previous TAPU. Object appraisal report. Earthquake insurance - DASK. Seller identity verification. Notarized power of attorney (if available).

A tax number that can be obtained from any local tax office in Turkey. It is a prerequisite for all official transactions in the Republic of Turkey (opening a bank account, registration of property rights (TAPU), obtaining a marriage certificate, residence permit, etc.). Obtaining a tax number does not involve any additional fees and is assigned once.
